So many times we forget our promises, we try to over complicate things or self punish ourselves and others. Punishing isn't what God is commanding (this separated from holding people or children accountable). That said accountability isn't punishing either, this is of the flesh as a self satisfying process to "get back at Each other". The idea of hurting someone because you think they hurt you is totally and completely from the enemy. Not from the Father! These activities of the flesh, of pride or stubbornness will keep you in the desert for 40 years. May even kill you!! Take the 11 Day trip, not the 40 year trip!
Worse we somehow do these things to the persons we love the most, our dearest people, the ones closest to us, or even relatives. For heavens sake even God. Why, because deep down we know they will forgive us or relent in the suffering. Further, somehow our society has us treating our enemies better than our loved ones, OMG, how have we allowed the enemy to foul us so? I get it, I do, I personally had to loose my Mother to realize how much I had judged her. To see what I lost out of, oh I cherish our good memories and only wish I could do so much differently. We can't allow ourselves to be the players in a stupid movie, you know what I'm talking about. The entire audience sees what you should be doing, and is in tears over our stupid egos!
How about we lay down the swords we hold upon each other, save the sword for others to protect the ones we love. To protect the WORD.
Thank you Lord for your Peace, for your Promises, and for Protecting us from our own stupidity. Giving us "DO OVERS", may all of us take the Do Over that is in front of us today!! Thank You Lord!!
