Women - how often have you been part of a the proverbial water cooler conversation. Where the conversation starts in a very suggest this, suggest that, then judge this, judge that happens. Before you know it the person called into question and likely by a busy body with an ax to grind; was judged, found guilty and they had no idea any of this was going on. In fact in many cases they don't even have a clue for weeks or months. When finally they hear about the offense that occurred wrongfully. Everyone apologizes, well they should have, but so much damage was done. I see this all too often, and frankly I want to call everyone out. For heavens sake are we still in Junior High School? Even then I thought this was mean girl, stupid stuff. Now it is just plain inexcusable.
Even when it may be based on facts, and your friend is in the wrong: Don't allow folks to berate your friend in your presence. Do not embrace a slanderous report about your friend, unless they are there to defend themselves. A trustworthy friend who have always been there for you, through your ups, downs, changes and turnarounds. They are worth any price, any effort, any defense.
In the end of the day, the flip side is also true. Be very careful not to go after someones character in secret; most especially if that person is a Christian brother or sister. Judgement of their character is NOT our place, it doesn't matter who you are. That is solely in the Lords hands. In the church we lose sight of these details sometimes, it is all too easy to get caught up in gossip disguised as a prayer chain, gifts of discernment getting off track, and somehow through pier pressure or not; Gal's we need to recognize it is from our flesh. We can NOT partake in this, turn and walk away swiftly. In the event, someone that is your friend, or known associate is being called under judgement or attack, simply say this,
Time To Circle The Wagons And Keep Your Friend Protected. Always Remember, True Friends Will Always Have The Same Enemies.
"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24
Will you join me today as we pray, each of us, for the deliverance of our habits.
In preparation of your Prayer, take a few moments and prepare your heart: Recognize each of us have habits, good ones hopefully in the word every day for example, and not so good ones. We all struggle as natural beings, with the daily temptations and familiar spirits in front of us. Maybe even pride or giving into our own desire, or perhaps almost in laziness. All of us no matter who we are have experienced this sometimes for long periods of time repeating the same cycles, and sometimes smaller cycles or incidences with triggers or a myriad of circumstances. Bottom line – start to let go and forgive yourself. Start to realize you are human, real, a sinner – wait for it – a human saved by the Blood of the Lamb. Christ Jesus is the only one that did not experience this, but what he did experience was the pain of all of our sins... The pain of being separated from Our Father for all of our sins so that we could be sinless in the eyes of Our Father.
This prayer is to send a reminder of our power, a reminder of what we should be focusing on every day, a reminder that we need to be humble and remember that we are exposed. Good morning - remember we've been rescued remember we have the power to overcome all evil - Satan has been defeated by our Savior don't let him trick you into thinking you're still fighting him. So let's read through here and just let your mind wonder as you perhaps remember something that you want to bring to Jesus and specifically ask for forgiveness, specifically hold up and ask him to help you to remove these urges. As you're reading this prayer, the powerful Words extracted from the verses below – BELIEVE what you are praying for as ALREADY answered. All the verses are pasted in; If you are struggling specifically or feel weak; please read the verses first and say the prayer, perhaps read the verses again, and let your Spirit read this prayer again and really feel it and believe it as the Lord releases you from these habits.
Now understand this;
As He releases you he's not conditionally releasing you ... He is permanently releasing you. The conditional element is us conditionally having faith, conditionally feeling like we are healed, conditionally feeling like it might come back, what does that really mean. Feeling. Do you feel like a pizza, how many times have you said that? What does pizza feel like anyway -- right that's what I want you to think about. The enemy has planted the thought of you have this entitled right to these random feelings. You don’t even know where those feelings were born from.
Don't give yourself permission to do it again, just recognize that if it happens thank the Lord He has provided His grace and once again He Will unconditionally forgive you, unconditionally release you from your habits. This entire prayer this entire process is all about you allowing yourself to understand the full value of making a decision to believe. Making a decision you don't need to understand any of this. Just Actively Believe, Practice Active Faith. Thank you Lord for all the strength and all the power that You have provided us, thank you Lord for Your unconditional love and never ending Grace thank you Father God, Praise the Lord Hallelujah!!
Deliverance from habit
Father, in the name of Jesus and in accordance to Your Word, I believe in my heart and say with my mouth that Jesus is Lord of my life. Since all Truth is in Jesus, I have now stripped myself of my former nature, put off and discarded my old, and now stand on my renewed self. Thank you Jesus. Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world.
Father, I desire to be free from the habits of my life “fill in any detail here you might want to fill-in....” in the name of Jesus. Father, these habits are not helpful, they are not good for me, not expedient and not profitable when considered with other things they are not benefiting my testimony nor Your Kingdom Lord. I no longer desire to be a slave of these wrong habits and wrong behaviors or be brought under their power. Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world.
Father, the self-destructive habits are symptoms of a flaw in my soul, my character, and I confess them as sin. I don't want to have make the same mistake over and over again. Father, Your Word exposes the wrong thought patterns that are driving me to continue acting out in ways that are contrary to your Word. I desired to be continually filled with, and controlled by the Holy Spirit, I desire to be obedient Lord. Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world.
Thank you, Father, for leading me into the Kingdom of Your Dear Son. Now I am Your garden under cultivation. In the name of Jesus, I throw all spoiled virtue and cantankerous evil into the garbage can. In simple humility, I propose to let You, my gardener, landscape me with the Word, making a salvation garden of my life. Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world.
I am myself with the full armor of God, that are more of a heavily armored soldier which God has supplied for me, the helmet of my celebrations, loins girted with the Truth, feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of Peace, the shield of Faith, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world.
With Gods armor on, I am able to stand up against all strategies and the deciets of the fiery darts of Satan, in the name of Jesus. Clothed in Your armor, I discipline my body and subdue it. With every temtation I choose the way to escape that You have provided. Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world.
With these words I know that means that You have given me the power to overcome, I also know that You have provided Your son and Your grace to forgive me when I fail. Therefore I go into today, I go into this moment, pledging my desire to obey. Pledging my desire to remove these habits from my life and fight them with the full armor of God on me I know I have the strength to overcome it. Lord you have told me so in the Word, and the Word is Truth. So I accept and believe it to my core. Lord I am asking You please guide my footsteps, shield my thoughts and imaginations, and infuse me with Your Words so that I might stay stronger. Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world.
Clothed in Your armor, I discipline my body and I said do it. Yes lord I say this again with every temptation I choose the way out - to escape using that very route Your Spirit provides to me. I will listen Lord and recognize Your Voice. Greater is he that is in me that is in the world thank you Lord. Hallelujah. Thank you Lord
Thank you, Lord. I praise You that I am growing spiritually and that Your engrafted Word is saving in my soul. I strip away the old nature with its habits, and I put on a new man created in Christ Jesus. “”Here's another place where you can add specifics that might be private in your life that you want to hold up to the Lord as you pray this.”” Greater is he that is in me that is in the world thank you Lord. Hallelujah. Thank you Lord
Lord thank you for providing me Your Word for providing me my brain, my ability to process Your Words, my heart, my soul, thank you for providing me with Your Spirit so that I might not walk alone, thank you for giving me my courageous knowledge through Your Word and all of Your armor thank you Lord - for I know now I will succeed. Greater is he that is in me that is in the world thank you Lord. Hallelujah. Thank you Lord
It is not a thought, it is not a hope, it is not a wish, I am not planning on a future failure at this moment, not planning or thinking on a plan b/c/d/e and so on. I am only seeing the success through Your strength, and with the power that You have given me – and Now Lord I say with my Mouth I receive it! And – Greater is he that is in me that is in the world thank you Lord. Hallelujah. Thank you Lord
I see the uphill battle, I see the mountain as you make it flat. I see the sweat coming down my forehead, I see it, and I cherish it for I know what it means it means success Lord. It means me embracing the power that You have provided and overcoming what has kept me from what You want to provide. Thank you Lord for these visions, thank you Lord for this power, thank you for Your Perfect Word - for your soft-spoken voice, for the natural occurrences, for those serendipitous confirmations You send me, thank you for speaking to me thank you Lord in Jesus name. Amen! Hallelujah Amen and Amen
