In this chapter 2 of The Gospel John, the miracle of Jesus turning water into wine is revealed. I believe the real miracle, the real message is more complex. First in these weddings traditionally the best wine is served first, knowing as people become drunk they can tolerate lower quality wine. (Hear wine is representing the best pleasures in life, God rewards, the fact that His rewards get better and better, the best for last. Not starting out w the best and deminishing over time, more than as we become more refined in Him our rewards are amplified. Finally, our best reward Eternal Life With Him!) Then as we look away from him (become drunk in the worlds pleasures rewards, quality of life and our promises are diminished.). Look carefully, at what His Mother says to the servants, without question, without hesitation... And in TOTAL FAITH that Jesus will provide. This is all He is asking, have total faith, believe Him, His WORD and obey Him His commands, keep His precepts... And He will give everyone us everything!!! Thank You Lord!!
So what happens, she not only says Do Exactly what He asks of you, she expects they too have faith without questions or explainations! She didn't even ask Jesus to explain His answer to her, nor say yeah but you need to do something. She had faith He had it under control, His promises are in fact real and for her to not have any concerns, just trust in HIM. So NO ONE SAYS, DO WHAT! WHY?
This is His glory... It isn't just wine for heavens sake. What is revealed here is emense! So where is He asking you that be faithful, public faithfulness; remember they were to poor the water in the Masters wine glass... If it was still water, the water that everyone washed with how embarrassing would that be. They didn't poor it in a separate glass that test it before hand. WOW right. Are you asking What, How Come, Why? Or are you acting as n Total Faith?
“His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.” John 2:5, 11 NIV
In Galatians 5:22 faith is listed as one of the nine fruits of the Spirit. The more modern translations use of the word faithfulness. It is a better description of a consistent life of trust in abiding confidence in the Lord and His Promises. To finally realize this is the most rewarding place you can be as a Christian individual, is a revelation you should not overlook. Today take the steps learn what it is to have faith, believe THE WORD and receive His Power His Mercy and His Love!
I have been released, Thank You Lord, from a prison of fear and disbelief, or even hesitations. I have learned what Faith is, and better now live and act in full Faith every moment of every day. All I can say is WOW, Thank You Lord, Hallelujah!!!!
So what do I mean, I see so many Christians who are struggling to believe and struggling to have faith. Their focus is all wrong they're focusing on the ability or inability to believe God or trying to have faith. I am speaking from my own personal experience.
Try this, start by acting like God's WORD is true it will make all the difference in your LIFE! It is when we know God's WORD is true and act like it is true that it becomes a reality to us -faith is not something we have so much at is something we DO! For me to wrap my head around it, then my heart, so I could release my need to understand and truly let go and ACT IN FAITH - I needed these details. So I am sharing my studies with you.
Faith is a new testament word for the old testament word trust, faith appears only twice in the Old Testament Deuteronomy 32:20 and Habakuk 2:4, while trust appears 101 times. In the Old Testament a better translation of faith would be faithfulness or steadfastness.
To summarize faith signifies believing the truth of the WORD of God. It relates to some words spoken or some promise made by the Lord. It expresses the belief which a person who hears it has all of its being true. You must confesses to it. You must rely upon it. And KNOW accordingly this is faith!
It's fruit will very according to the nature of the promise received and according to the circumstance of the receiver. It led Noah to build the ARK, Abraham to offer up his son, Moses to refuse to be called the son of pharaohs daughter, and the Israelites to march around the walls of Jericho. ' I believe God that it shall be even as it has been told to me'. Think of this as a picture of the process which the Bible calls faith and see what Faith brings you.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
So then faith cometh by hearing, and by hearing the word of God. Romans 10:17
In Revelation 12:11, the WORD says the Saints overcome the accuser by the blood of Jesus in the words of their testimony. That is true, however not only for end-time martyrs but it is true for born-again children of God living every day lives in ANY generation.
However, you cannot have a testimony unless you know the rights of a born-again child of God, the things you inherited in, through, and with Jesus because of HIS WORK on the cross. Notice, I did not say your work! Your job is the see, believe, confess and decide to be full of faithfulness. Trust in Him!!! Remember there is a difference, today's message is to a follow on from yesterday's, to breake it down to the basics. After all, how the you get where you want to be if you don't know where to start. So start here...
I want to emphasize you MUST know who you are in Christ. Then, to bring those things that you already possess into manifestation, you must begin to believe them. (I say begin, because truly believing means zero doubt). To be born again, you must have faith that God exists and that HE sent his only begotten son to die for your sins because HE loves you. John 3:16. Salvation as a free gift for you, purchased by Jesus, but unless you believe that and confess it with your mouth, salvation is not manifested in you. It is not a reality in you. Romans 10:9-10. Said differently, you must accept Him and Believe He is Your Salvation and the ONLY WAY. If you don't, you are not only, missing out on His Blessings - you are proclaiming the WORD is not true. Do you see where I am going with this - please if you need further help with call me.
After you realize your salvation and profess it in your heart and to be The Truth, dive into Faith Based Victory, You WILL BE AMAZED!!! Thank You Lord, Hallelujah!!!
Steps to take: First, find out from the WORD, on your own, what things are already yours because of Jesus. Then, if you want to build faith for those things to become a reality in your life, begin to speak out the good things God has done and the things you are believing him to do. (“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21)
Faith without works is dead ("In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:17). Faith grows stronger by telling testimonies of Jesus by continual confession of what you believe God will do and has done. A weak confession is one full of doubt and is a confession of deceit. As long as people talk defeat, they will not overcome. That means stop complaining, it is causing your defeat, your complaining is giving you more to complain about... WOW right!!!
WE have the blood of the lamb, but you have to make sure you also have THE TRUE WORD in your testimony and don't let it be missing. What is the confession, the WORD of your testimony, that we are told in Hebrews 4:14 to "hold fast"? It is the positive things God has done in our lives and for us. The WORD of our testimony is speaking out of who we are in Christ, not just what HE has done for us in our natural lives - sincerely all of it.
From God's veiwpoint, everything HIS WORD says you are, or that you have, IS TRUE!! Those things are already done. ALREADY DONE! The Bible is a legal document setting forth the story, the description, and the provisions of the blood covenant, of which the Abrahamic covenant (the Old Testament) was a four runner. There are more than 100 expressions of such in Christ, in Him, in whom, through whom, and so forth in the new testament that set forth all things Jesus provided for us by HIS BLOOD on the cross of Calvary.
Start with second Corinthians 5:17 "therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Then go on and memorize as many others as you can confessing them often so that the word of your testimony is in line with the word of God finding out the reality of who you are in Christ will change your life!!
