There are several words for rejoice, and several kinds of rejoicing. SHEMEACH is a Hebrew word for rejoice, carrying with it the word shine. After a bit of study last night and this morning, I found the connection to Issachar. He is the laborer for the Lord who carries his rejoicing in his tent, meaning his temple, his body. He will shine and draw in souls for the kingdom. Issachar was the ninth son of Jacob and the fifth son of Leah. Both of these numbers are important, nine is the number of strength, and five is the number of grace. Together, this refers to the strength of grace which is manifested in the life of Issachar and the Issacharites.
Of course we can not all be cut from this cloth, however we can all embrace SHEMEACH. What is this, to rejoice always, not the shouting out loud style of rejoicing, your inner rejoicing. Let's say the opposite, when you see someone who is sad, you know it because they are wearing that emotion all over them. Same as when you see someone happy, right. We'll wearing your rejoicing spirit is what I'm talking about. Find it, Love it, embrace the inner rejoice and shine!!
Remember to see all those working hard for the Lord all around you (they are urging you in earnest "admonish" to turn to the Lord as well. To work for Him, and forever rejoice in Him).
So go today, pray for your inner Rejoice to shine, and rejoice in Him and ALL He has provided for you. THANK YOU LORD, HALLELUJAH!!!
“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:12-18 NIV
