A man recently said to me. "God never gives up on you." He truly needs to study his bible more. Because on the contrary, God gives up on people, like He gave up on lucifer and never gave him a chance for restoration.
He gave up on an entire generation of the Israelite's. Because they wouldn't change, they had to walk in the desert for 40yrs until they died and the younger generation entered the promised land. Some people are so "over dosed" with mercy that they can't see the damage a fool is causing them. Or foolish behavior causing them to continuously do the same premeditated sins over and over. Quit trying to take fools into a future they don't want. Pain and loss is their only cure. I had the pleasure of being raised by my Grand-Mother and Great-Mother living with us; so of course they were the leading women in my life. I hated it naturally, but they both called me 'sister' or 'Samantheee'. A loving Southern thing, but I grew up in Northern California and essentially non- of the Southern nomenclature made any sense to me at the time. As I grew into myself however, I have so much to back and draw upon. Like this one, "Sister, you don't need to jump in that hole and help that girl dig". Meaning a girl in junior high, you know one of those girls who had to control the school and was always stirring up trouble. Well I was always trying to help her, get on track, not seeing the bad in her just in her ways. Finally, after a day of tears and extreme frustration. My Great-Grandmother told me that; meaning let her dig her own hole. I think in today's society, overly influenced by apathetic people only caring about political correctness, and not offending anyone, lose the point. First, and foremost we are not in charge of other peoples feelings so check your oppinions with the Bible, if you are on track the it doesn't matter if someone will be offended. We need to focus on not offending God - and - oh yes sometimes we have to let go, and let them dig their own hole. Witness, Smile, and Pray, but release yourself, release your guilt, release your heart strings. God needs our energy where it can be used - Pray and ask the Holy Spirit - He will most certainly inform you appropriately! TYL PTL "Do not speak to a fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words." Proverbs 23:9
