WHAT IS A GOOD USE OF TIME?

The verses below have a lot to say, and given different points of view I am sure more can be said than the subject I been led to cover today.  Over the years I have covered it a few times - this time it is directed at WOMEN!
  • First to me a favor, go read Proverbs 31 any version of the Bible you can find, or better several versions. Pray over that chapter and ask the Holy Spirit, HS what are you trying to say to me TODAY?
  • I hope you hear Him say to you, Yes here you are described in great detail Mighty Women of God!

This is a new series that of course starts with Prayer, and Self Examination. The End Goal is Massive Change!  Right now women and men are shut down in general. Communication is off, we are buying subscriptions to trash to try to figure out how to catch each other. Watching shows, reading mag's, listening to gossip, listening to pop culture for heavens sake. We know none of these influences are real, they don't have life, they don't have power. But why do we tune in.  I am going to suggest - Habit - that is all. So let's together make some New Habits!

What is the best use of your time? Is this corporate speak - well yes - however it is also a question you should ask yourself personally and on a regular basis.
  1. That is Right the Number One Best Answer is Prayer.

The verses between the two verse selections are the Lords Prayer, (one of the best breakdowns I have ever heard about prayer, and how to pray is a series Pastor Robert Morris did, it is on line and easy to listen to.) Their are numerous fantastic speakers you can gain access to, books you can read, literally a myriad of different subjects and styles of teaching. All is better than the silly TV, or junk mag, or plain gossip with the girls.  I encourage you to dive in this week - do something different. Something that will ADD VALUE to yourself as a woman, as well as to your family. If you don't have an immediate family, nor an extended family, connect with your co-workers and most certainly your Church Body.

Get involved, meet people, make a positive difference. Think about it, if You don't, if We don't - who will?

So here are some thoughts to live by :  think about : or perhaps make it a starter boot-camp :
  • Setting a Bar for Friends:  It is interesting to me is people feel the need to tell people everything they do, every single thing.  Then there are others that tell you what you want to hear, and of course those that truly manipulate the situation. Whatever that is, like playing friends, colleges, even love relationships against each other. There is power in keeping those people hurting and needing you... Remember that is NOT a good power.  Rarely do you find people that will tell you the truth, or isn't trying to always have one up on you or use what you do tell them against you or for their own gain. For heavens sake, when you find those rare gems, those are your keepers. Much more on this subject stay tuned - but today let's focus on the simple things. Remember, Be the person the friend you hope to find for yourself!
  • Watching your mouth and actions in a crowd: Do you really think one of your bragging subjects, one of those exaggerated or one upping talks ought to be your charitable works, or worse how much time you spend w the Lord, in His Word and in Prayer?  There is nothing in your gut that tells you that is okay, nothing. Yet people do it. Don't follow suit!  At the same time don't judge, smile and set the path that the Lord has very well defined in the Word.
  • Pier Pressure: If you are competitive in nature, or are compelled and want to do things right, please start here. STOP BRAGGING ON YOURSELF, AND GO INTO YOUR CLOSET!  Don't have to literally although some people do, the message is be private. Why, because there it truly becomes real. There is nothing you are doing for points, credits, credibility, nor making others be in awe of you and your works. It is just between you and the Lord, who will reward you Greatly!! TYL. Listen if you boast and someone says oh wow, oh my gosh you are so wonderful. That was your reward.

Most of the time if you want to make a change, you know you need to do it but you are not sure where to start. How to begin. If you are doing it right or not.

Start Here : Spend Time with the Lord in Prayer, in the Word, in Praise!
  • Change the music you are listening to. For heaven's sake some of the words these days are worse than what was allowed in Playboy magazine not to long ago. So don't put that garbage in your head.
  • Examine what you are spending your time doing. Be honest with yourself.
  • Examine your diet, your activities - think Spiritual Health, Mental Health, Physical Health

Go a little deeper, ask yourself this; Are You Praising and Worshiping the Lord, Father God, Jesus Himself and The Holy Spirit?  If you are not - then simply start to make little changes!  Example, I personally love to dance, I love my beats everyone knows that about me. But, now I really watch what I listen to, No More Trash Period. It is amazing the results. Protect what goes into your brain. Protect what goes into your children's ears as well. That one is something you may want to consider changing in a way that is not going to feel like a punishment. Just weave it in and make it fun!-)  Be careful here this is a slippery place, and a real trick the enemy will play.  So spend your time with the Lord first!!

Good news, it is the easiest thing in the world to fix... These verses spell it out as clear as day. Go and Be Blessed today, and go Bless others with your smile, your encouraging words, with your uplifted spirit. Eventually you will also have the chance to witness to them. And say to yourself each time, wow I love you Lord. Thank you for theses blessed opportunities, Thank you Lord!!  And in your private prayer time, make it between you and Him, be specific, and spend time in the Word. It is the best recipe I ever learned.  I have committed mighty woman and men of God to thank for that, more I thank Him for having refined them, brought them into my life and then refined me. Thank You Lord!!!!

““And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”  Matthew 6:5-8, 16-18 NIV
